PHA Media was hired by the American Motor sports corporation to promote the Nascar Daytona Series in the UK. We were tasked with promoting the showcase race of the Daytona Series, the Rolex 24, to a UK audience. A hugely successful press trip for the most influential UK journalists targeting the motor sports enthusiasts and sports fans generally, was arranged, overcoming natural resistance to a sport which is little heard of in the UK, despite its prominence in the US. No marketing or advertising had taken place in the UK so it was over to the PHA Media PR team.
We secured extended coverage in national press, including the front page of the Telegraph Motoring section, and a page spread in the Metro, plus a selection of motorsports magazines and online coverage, including a highly successful podcast.
The coverage caused such a stir in the UK and was so successful PHA Media have been engaged to promote the 2009 Series in the UK.
