Mark Lowe is Chairman of hedge fund Nomos Capital and was sued for alleged sexual discrimination by a former female employee, Jordan Wimmer.
In the early stages of the trial, unbalanced press reporting was compromising Mark’s reputation and his legal team’s chances of winning the case. The list of Mark’s alleged offences had grown from ‘blonde’ jokes circulated to colleagues by email, to persistent sexual discrimination at work, and even liaisons with prostitutes.
PHA Media was brought in by Edwin Coe, the lawyers representing Mark Lowe. Our brief was to change public perception of Mark, by working with journalists to establish more balanced reporting.
After weeks of attending court and meeting journalists, the tone of reporting changed and Mark was positioned as a successful businessman with an eccentric sense of humour, rather than a boorish sexist boss. Meanwhile, aspersions were cast over Jordan Wimmer’s own private life, and the state of her mental health.
Mark Lowe won the case and was not charged with sexual discrimination.
