PHA Media start to Twitter

As Ashton Kutcher and CNN celebrate passing the million followers mark, PHA Media have started ‘twittering’ as yet another way to keep clients, journalists and other interested parties updated on their activities.

The PHA Media office in the heart of Soho, London, is a hub of activity, so there is plenty for the office to ‘Twitter’ about. Posts so far have ranged from ‘Phil Hall is off to West Ham later’ and ‘Elle is looking forward to being in Dublin at the weekend with Paul Gascoigne for the Turbidy Tonight show!!’ through to  ‘Natalie just spotted Simon Amstell on Dean Street’. And it has already proved beneficial for staff and PHA Media ‘followers’.

Senior Account Executive, Katie Matthews, said; “As well as being great for the nosey amongst us, Twitter is also proving useful in our day-to-day work. It provides a great way for us all to keep updated about what each other is getting up to, which helps us to know when someone else’s activities may compliment your own. I read on Twitter the other day that one of my colleagues had been in touch with a magazine I was trying to get one of my clients in to. I was therefore able to get the details for her contact, and went on to secure a feature for my client too.”

PHA Media CEO, Phil Hall, added; “Twitter has exploded on to the scene in the last couple of months, and is fast becoming a really useful, and very important, PR tool. It is great for helping to build relationships with journalists, clients and other contacts, and can also be used to create PR campaigns for clients which then go on to receive wider coverage in the press. One of the people we are ‘following’ is Lily Allen and I noticed on her profile the other day that she has been carrying out a ticket treasure hunt for fans whist she is touring the US; Twittering cryptic clues to lead fans to hidden tickets. What a great idea. She is talking directly to her fans and creating a great PR story at the same time.”
