PHA supported the Ann Summers press team for the launch of the brand concept store at Westfield Stratford City. The store launch was hosted by Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold. The stylish event included a DJ set, a ‘mixologist’, delicious catering, a photo booth and exclusive goody bags. The event was attended by a number of celebrities including TOWIE’s Dino and Georgio, Ali Bastian and Laura Hamilton, as well as key press including Glamour, Now, Bella, The Sun and Drapers.
PHA organised the opening of Pretty Green’s second London store in Covent Garden. Attended by Liam Gallagher himself, the event was a huge success with MTV, ShortList, Drapers, Absolute Radio and the FA Cup in attendance.
PHA organised the launch of Pretty Green’s collaboration with The Who’s Quadrophenia at the Carnaby Street store. The event appropriately kicked-off with a host of Vespa’s riding up and down Carnaby Street and achieved coverage in over 35 publications.
For four seasons, PHA Media secured high profile and targeted London Fashion Week involvement for London’s gourmet food delivery service – The Pure Package – who catered for the models backstage at the following shows: Matthew Williamson, Julian Macdonald, Alice Temperley, Mary Katrantzou, Mark Fast and Mulberry. In addition, PHA Media secured an endorsing quote from each of the designers praising The Pure Package for making the hectic LFW period easier which is displayed prominently on the company’s website.
The BMW PGA Championship is the European Tour’s flagship event, held every year at the Wentworth Club. PHA has been involved in media management of the event since 2009, working to ensure positive coverage for Wentworth in the build-up to the event, and providing round-the-clock press office support. In 2011, a record breaking crowd of 85,000 attended the four day event, with a television audience of millions worldwide.
PHA Media were tasked with managing the press during and surrounding the UFC 138 event, held at the LG Arena in Birmingham. During the week running up to the event PHA arranged everything from media attendance, “open workouts” for the fighters to showcase their skills to the press, press conferences; and an official weigh-in which was broadcast across the world. During the event, PHA managed close to 150 media from all across the world, as the show was broadcast live on ESPN to millions of viewers – resulting in hundreds of pieces of coverage being secured.
PHA Media arranged for key journalists from the health and fitness press to come along to an action packed ‘first look’ event at Fulham’s Hurlingham Park previewing some of the obstacles which participants face during the full Tough Mudder event. Press attendance included: The Daily Mail, Evening Standard, Men’s Running, Women’s Running, Healthy for Men and Bodyfit. The event was a big success and left the press feeling full of enthusiasm for the Tough Mudder course, with a hint of exhaustion and a few bruises thrown in for good measure.
PHA Media conducted the launch of Call of Duty: Black Ops with GAME, the UK’s leading video game retailer. Over 300 members of the public were camped outside GAME’s Oxford Street store to be one of the first to get their hands on the title, which quickly became the fastest and biggest selling video game of all time. Despite GAME not being the official retailer partner, PHA still secured a fantastic array of coverage for the launch, including ITV’s Daybreak, CNN, BBC Radio 5, The Sun, The Metro and the Evening Standard to name but a few. In total over 100 pieces of coverage were generated by PHA Media as a result of the launch.
PHA client Prezzo teamed up with celebrity chef, Aldo Zilli, to launch a range of Zilli designed pizzas across all of their restaurants nationwide. To mark the occasion, PHA hosted a launch event at Prezzo’s flagship restaurant in Haymarket, London. The newly designed pizzas were on offer throughout the night and the event was very well attended by food writers, reviewers and food bloggers, as well as some of Aldo’s celebrity pals. Coverage from the event included the Sunday Mirror, the News of the World, Daily Star Sunday, OK! online, Best, Reveal, Restaurant magazine and dozens of food blogs.
PHA was enlisted by Visit Blackpool to promote the English leg of the beach volleyball CEV European Championships which took place on Blackpool’s famous promenade. We were responsible for driving people to the championships through pre event PR and for all on-event media. Our target pre event was to attract 15,000 people to attend. Official figures from Visit Blackpool show that we almost doubled that target with 29,000 visitors coming to the town for the beach volleyball event. We also hosted international media at the event, including Sky News, Sky Sports, ITV News, The Sun, Daily Express and the Press Association.
