PHA Media’s Fashion & Lifestyle team recently attended Breakthrough Breast Cancer’s skydive event in Oxford. This was the climax to a campaign entitled ‘The Breakthrough Booby Birds’, which involved fourteen highly successful and inspirational women committing to raising £20,000 each for the charity plus take part in a tandem skydive on 22nd May at RAF Weston-on-the-Green. The women included Broadcaster and TV Presenter, Caroline Feraday, Harrods Fashion & Beauty Director, Marigay McKee and many of the City’s finest banking brains. With the most perfect weather it was a wonderful atmosphere with many of the women’s friends and family turning up to support their ‘Booby Bird’. To date the women have collectively raised a quarter of a million pounds for the charity with more still to come. This is an absolutely incredible achievement and the PHA team were so proud to attend and watch the women emulate the freefall women go through when diagnosed with breast cancer. Their courage and fundraising will go a long way at Breakthrough Breast Cancer and we can’t wait for next year’s event!!
